The Hon.
Chris Said, Parliamentary Secretary for Public Dialogue and
Information, delivers opening address on second day of “Creative
Communities - Networking Local Councils and the Arts”. St James
Cavalier in collaboration with MEUSAC are organising a set of
interactive and hands-on workshops aimed at Local Councils,
NGO’s within the sphere of culture, and local artists. The
objective is to instill social innovation as a tool for cultural
sustainability.
The Hon. John Dalli,
Minister for Social Policy, launches the Community Work
Scheme for people who have been on the unemployment register
for five years and over.
The Hon. Tonio Fenech, Minister of Finance, the Economy and
Investment, visits the ongoing restoration works at Military
Heritage Park at the Lascaris War Rooms by Heritage Malta.
This project is being supported by the Good Causes Fund.
The
Hon. Joe Cassar, Parliamentary Secretary for Health, attends
a presentation of an industrial photocopier by the
International Assocation of Linos Clubs, Lions Club St
Paul`s Bay, Malta to the Rainbow Ward, Puttinu Cares.
The Hon.
George Pullicino, Minister for Resources and Rural
Affairs, visits producers of tomatoes for
processing. During this event, media were briefed
about measures being taken against the Tuta Absoluta
disease.
The
Prime Minister, the Hon. Lawrence Gonzi,
delivers closing address at the National
Conference on MEPA Reform.
The
Hon. Dolores Cristina, Minister for
Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, and the
Hon. Chris Said, Parliamentary Secretary for
Public Dialogue and Information,
preside over the activity
“Il-Ktieb Pass ‘il Bogħod Minnek”
hosted by the Bormla Local Council. During
this activity, funds and other donations
were distributed to local and regional
libraries which have been devolved to the
responsibility of local councils, and a new
directory of local libraries was launched.
