Post in Modern Languages with Specialisation in the Teaching of
German
Department of Arts and Languages in Education
The appointee will be expected to participate in the teaching,
research and other activities in the field of Modern Languages with
specialisation in the Teaching of German, in the Department of Arts
and Languages in Education, in the Faculty of Education, and as may
be required by the University.
2. Candidates should have a postgraduate degree, with specialisation
in the teaching of German, and that they have conducted empirical
research on some aspect of German pedagogy at Secondary level.
Relevant teaching experience within the Maltese educational system
is required.
3. An appointment may be made at one of the grades of Associate
Professor, Senior Lecturer or Lecturer, if there are applicants who
satisfy the statutory requirements for appointment at these grades.
However an appointment at Assistant Lecturer grade may also be
offered on the condition that the appointee completes a Ph.D. or
D.Phil degree within a stipulated period.
The salaries attached to the respective grades are:
Associate Professor €29,168
Senior Lecturer €26,457
Lecturer €21,449 rising by annual
increments of €641 to €23,371
Assistant Lecturer with Masters €20,044 rising by annual increments
of €596 to €21,833
