Call for Motorways of the Sea
Project Proposals in the East Mediterranean area
The Malta Maritime Authority together with the Hellenic Ministry of
Mercantile Marine, Aegean and Islands Policy, the Ministry of Transport
of the Italian Republic, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of
Slovenia and the Cyprus Ports Authority invite beneficiaries from EU
Member-States from East Mediterranean to submit proposals for Motorways
of the Sea projects.
The objective of this call is to identify viable MoS projects that
will eventually become part of the Master Plan of the East Mediterranean
region, which forms part of the trans-European transport network,
according to Decision 1692/96/EC.
Project Proposals should be submitted until the 20th of February 2008
at 16:00 hours (Greek time), at the following address: Hellenic Ministry
of Mercantile Marine, Aegean and Islands Policy, General Secretariat of
Ports and Port Policy, 26-28 Akti Kondili, 18545 Piraeus – Greece.

A One Day Event on “Motorways of the Sea: Submitting Proposals for
the Eastern Mediterranean MoS Call” will take place on the 31st of
January 2008, at Piraeus, Greece (venue to be announced) organized by
the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine, Aegean and Islands Policy,
on behalf the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine, Aegean and Islands
Policy, the Ministry of Transport of the Italian Republic, the Ministry
of Transport of the Republic of Slovenia, the Cyprus Ports Authority and
the Malta Maritime Authority. All interested parties are invited to
attend the event and thus to acquire further information or
clarifications on the submission of proposals.
