Harold Scorey Scholarship in Broadcast Journalism The Harold Scorey Scholarship in Broadcast Journalism is offered annually by the Government of Malta with the aim of improving journalistic standards in the local broadcasting field. The bursary is open to journalists working in the local broadcasting media or aspiring journalists who are interested in developing their skills in broadcast journalism. The scholarship consists of a bursary not exceeding €5,000 and is intended to cover full or partial costs of training (professional courses or attachments) in broadcast journalism. The successful candidate must make use of the scholarship during 2010. All applications will be examined by a board specifically appointed to conduct the selection process. MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS Maritime Law Scholarships 2010/2011 (for Maltese citizens only) Applications are invited from Maltese citizens for the 21st course at the IMO International Maritime Law Institute, Malta to be held from mid-September 2010 to May 2011. The course is at postgraduate level leading to a Master of Laws (LL.M) and places particular emphasis on the international regulatory law relating to maritime safety and port protection of the marine environment. It also covers the commercial law aspects of shipping. A unique feature of the course is the provision of comprehensive training in the development and drafting of maritime legislation. Persons in possession of a university degree in law with a high standard may apply. 2010/2011 The Government of Malta is offering scholarships for academic year 2010/2011 to enable students to participate in an MA course in Contemporary European Studies tenable at the University of Sussex. The course programme covers one academic year commencing in October 2010 and ends in September 2011. Applicants should already have, or expect to have before September 2010, a local or foreign approved university degree (minimum Second Class Upper) in Law, Economics, Management/Commerce/Human Resources, the Social/Political Science, the Humanities, (including Literature), History and Philosophy. The documents listed below should be attached to the application form in duplicate: (a) a Curriculum Vitae indicating the totality of studies pursued as well as

MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS Scholarships offered by the Indonesian Government for the Academic Year 2010-2011 (for Maltese citizens only) DARMASISWA is a scholarship program offered by the Indonesian Government to study Bahasa Indonesia, arts, music and crafts. This program is organized by the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). The main purpose of the DARMASISWA program is to promote and increase the interest in the language and culture of Indonesia among the youth of other countries. It has also been designed to provide stronger cultural links and understanding among participating countries. Darmasiswa RI Program is conducted in 2 schemes, i.e: Regular 1 (One) Year Darmasiswa RI scholarship Program Regular One Year program is a one-year scholarship program to study Indonesian language and Art (traditional music, traditional dance, and Indonesian craft) in selected Indonesian Higher Education Institutions. Regular 6 (Six) Months - Darmasiswa RI scholarship Program Regular six-month program is a six-month scholarship program to study Indonesian language in selected Indonesian Higher Education Institutions. Classes for the Regular One Year Darmasiswa RI Scholarship Program will be conducted from September 2010 to July 2011. For university of Indonesia the class will start in the beginning of July 2010. For participants of the Regular Six Months Program, classes will be conducted in two periods, namely from August 2010 to January 2011 and from February to July 2011. Qualifications of Applicants: 1. Fill out application form; 2. Not more than 35 years old; 3. Completed secondary education or its equivalent; 4. Copy of academic transcript; 5. In good health as proved by Medical Certificate; 6. Able to communicate in English and have a basic knowledge of the field they’re applying for.
