The President of Malta,
Dr. Eddie Fenech Adami and Mrs. Fenech Adami
launched the traditional Ball of the August
Moon which will be held on the evening of
Saturday 2nd August, 2008 at
Verdala Palace.
The President of Malta
urged the general public to attend this
annual event, the proceeds of which will go
entirely towards the Malta Community Chest
Fund. Persons who are in need, patients who
require very expensive medicines and
relatives who accompany patients abroad for
specialised treatment need our support.
The published financial
accounts show that the MCCF distributes more
than a million Euros annually. The
collection of such funds is through various
activities which are organised by MCCF
throughout the year.
Those attending the Ball
will be able to view the uncovered vault
painting in the Main Hall of Verdala Palace,
where an almost two year conservation
project has been completed.
