President Eddie Fenech Adami today
launched the traditional August Moon Ball to be held on the evening of
Saturday 4 August, 2007 at Verdala Palace.
The President urged the general public to
attend this annual event, proceeds of which go entirely towards the
Malta Community Chest Fund. Persons who are in need, patients who
require very expensive medicines and relatives who accompany patients
who need to go abroad for specialised treatment need our support. The
published financial accounts show that the MCCF distributes around half
a million liri annually. The collection of such funds is through
various activities which are organised by MCCF throughout the year.
Those attending the Ball will be able to
see the progress achieved in the restoration of the Paladini paintings
in the Main Hall of Verdala Palace.
Tickets for the Ball, costing Lm20 (€
46.59) each, are available at the offices of the Malta Community Chest
Fund, The Palace, Valletta. Dress is black tie. For more information
