The
Commonwealth Heads of Government at their last meeting in December 2003
held in Nigeria, accepted Malta’s offer to host the next CHOGM; this
will be held during November 2005.CHOGMs
are held every two years in a different Commonwealth country providing
Heads of Government from the 53 Member-States the opportunity to discuss
matters of common interest and to agree on initiatives of benefit to the
Commonwealth’s diverse membership.
The
CHOGM logo is an integral part of the Conference identity and every
CHOGM has its own distinctive logo design. This is reproduced on all the material connected directly and
indirectly with CHOGM and, in view of the wide media coverage such a
Conference attracts, the logo adopted enjoys widespread exposure

decided to launch a public competition for the design of the 2005 CHOGM.The logo designs submitted should attempt to project Malta’s
historic and cultural identity, look ahead towards Malta’s progress
within the technological age especially in the fields of Information and
Communications, and also seek to recall Malta’s Commonwealth link.Full details on the Rules and other aspects of the Competition
