NEARLY LM 46,000 ARE PRESENTED BY H.E. THE PRESIDENT AND MRS de MARCO
ON BEHALF OF THE MALTA COMMUNITY CHEST FUND
H.E. the President of Malta and Mrs de Marco, have today presented, on
behalf of the Malta Community Chest fund, financial aid, specialised
apparatus and white goods to various individuals and philanthropic
institutions in need. The presentation was held this morning at the
Palace, Valletta.
The
total sum presented this morning was LM 45,894.
Today,
107 individuals and 14 philanthropic institutions have benefited from
these donations. The former have received a total of LM 28,021 out of
which LM 16,575 in help for specialised apparatus. The specialised
apparatus includes specialised wheelchairs, special buggies, lifting
chairs, hoists and other equipment.
The
philanthropic institutions have received a total of LM 17,873 and
amongst those institutions and associations who received this help are:
