The Department of
Information would like to announce that Freephone
153 is now accessible also through cellular telephony both to
Vodafone as well as to Go Mobile subscribers.Additionally, after office hours, callers will now be able to
make their enquiry, which will be recorded.A staff member will call back on the next working day between
8.00am and 5.00pm with the requested information.
Another
means of obtaining information is that of sending an e-mail toinfo@gov.mt.The Department is committing itself to send a reply via
the same channel of communication, within one working day.When the matter cannot be dealt with by the Government
Information Service, it is forwarded to the authority concerned, from
where a final reply is issued.

of
information such as notices regarding Employment Opportunities in the
public sector, Scholarships and Calls for Public Tenders.These are regularly mailed to their e-mail account.One can apply for any of these services simply by filling in
the registration form available on the DOI website. The Department is
binding itself to start providing the service within 3 days from the
day of request.
The Department is also
committing itself to put online on the DOI
Website www.doi.gov.mtall Press Releases, daily on the same date of issue and
Employment Opportunities, Scholarships, Tenders on the day they are
published in the Government Gazette.
Government Information
Service also welcomes members of the public who personally call at its
Customer Care Office at 3,
Castille Place, Valletta, to obtain information as well as to collect
literature and other published documents relating to Government
services and activities.

these facilities which have now been incorporated within the Government
Information Service and which have all adopted the Quality Service
Charter, can be found in a booklet which has just been published by
the Charter Support Unit at the Office of the Prime Minister.Copies of the booklet, available in Maltese as well as in
English, can be obtained from the Department of Information, Valletta,
Local Council Offices, from the Central and Regional Libraries and
from Health Centres.They
