Kien inħass il-bżonn li jsir taħriġ fis-sengħa
tal-bini u għal dan l-għan tnedew korsijiet għall-liċenzja ta’
bennej. L-għalliema tas-sengħa tal-bini, fl-iskola Ġlormu
Cassar, ippreparaw il-lezzjonijiet li huma miġburin flimkien
f’dan il-ktieb. L-iskop ewlieni ta’ l-għalliema kien li l-lezzjonijiet
jinżammu sempliċi kemm jista’ jkun. Dan il-ktieb huwa ta’
siwi għal min b’xi mod jew ieħor għandu jew sejjer ikollu
x’jaqsam mal-bini speċjalment dawk li se jibnu djarhom.

Creating Inclusive Schools - Guidelines for the
Implementation of the National Curriculum Policy on Inclusive
Education
This document is yet another tool that helps school
communities gauge how far they have moved towards a common goal:
that of ensuring that schools become diverse and inclusive
communities of learners. The tool is a compilation of
professionally recognised success indicators that members of the
school community can regularly use to assess their collective
effort in making their school a truly inclusive one. This
document anchors theory in concrete day-to-day practices and
through indicators it provides an effective tool for evaluation
and further development.

Guidelines for Special
Examination Arrangements for candidates with particular
requirements
Examining Authorities recognise the fact
that there are candidates who have coped with the learning demands
of a course but for whom the standard arrangements for assessment
of their attainment may present an unnecessary barrier which could
be removed without affecting the validity of the assessment. In Guidelines…one
finds a description of both the principles and procedures for
requests for special arrangements and for special consideration.

Portfolio Assessment
This work gives background theoretical information
about the use of portfolios in different countries as well as
provides information about the basic elements involved within such
a system. It also presents the framework required in developing
portfolio assessment. The school management team and teachers in
particular will find this an essential reference book as it
provides them with the philosophical underpinnings as well as the
practical implications behind the successful introduction of such
a scheme.
